Enterprise Risk Management Information System (ERMIS) is a complete information system for clients to perform related enterprise risk management tasks. It is applicable to the risk management agenda of large and mid-sized enterprises at both corporate and business unit levels, supporting the operations of each and all components of such enterprises’ risk management systems. ERMIS’s functions cover the complete process of risk management, include collecting raw risk data, integrity checking, event registration and risk identification, risk analysis and evaluation, risk management strategies and control implementation, risk solutions and resource allocation, feedback and reporting, self assessment and improvement.

The systemic framework of ERMIS conforms to the standards of Service-Oriented Architecture and J2EE. Taking a modular approach, ERMIS relies on the middleware platform for designing and development. ERMIS presents to end users a three-tierd browser/server architecture incorporating data logic layer, core functional layer and user interface layer. Each of the modules remains relatively independent but is interconnected other modules at the same time.
